Dr David Duckworth has been a godsend for NSW jockeys.
As you will see he specialises in shoulder conditions and surgery, plus elbow conditions and surgery. However, Dr Duckworth has the right contacts for the best specialist in NSW, from head to toe. The NSWJA urges you to reach out to Dr Duckworth, should you have any fracture, neck or spinal injury, or a head injury.
The best method is to obtain the scans and send them to Dr Duckworth. Once they have been sent, SMS Dr Duckworth and advise him they have been sent and ask him to contact you or your Next of Kin. However, it is always preferred to SMS rather than call Dr Duckworth, as he may be in surgery.
You may also want to reach out to Dr Duckworth should you have a query on banned substances, and what you can and cannot take before riding commitments. It would be best to email those questions to his personal assistant or to him directly.

Physiotherapist/Massage Therapist
NSW licenced jockeys and apprentices have twenty (20) complimentary visits to a physio, massage therapist or similar. This is capped at $90 per visit.

Also note that:
- The amount will be credited to your stakes payment after a fortnight or so.
- This excellent initiative by Racing NSW and the NSWJA is for your benefit.
- The 20 visits is for each calendar year, ending 31st December each year.
Nutritionist / Dietitian
Should you need assistance from a dietitian or nutritionist to manage weight, you have a complimentary $300 to spend annually.
